Transitions in life are never easy. For many seniors, moving to smaller quarters is “out there” - meaning some time in the future. But for most of us, “I’m not ready yet,” really means, “I can’t stand the thought of getting ready to move.”
Making a decision to move is just the start. Sometimes, just deciding whether to rent, sell, or remodel your home can be difficult. If you’ve lived in your home for 30, 40…even 50 years, a move can be quite a project.
Belongings that once brought us pleasure now seem like a burden, extra weight we would rather not have. On the other hand, sorting through a lifetime of accumulations and deciding to part with them is hard. I can provide information to help you make these decisions confidently.
My role is to be a single point of contact, coordinating the professional services of objective third parties to help with the pre-move and moving day tasks, develop a relocation plan, provide the necessary moving resources, organize, supervise the actual move on moving day, and even help to prepare your former residence for market.
In addition, I can provide an element of compassionate objectivity about decisions such as:
• Sorting and Downsizing
• Packing and Unpacking
• Selecting a moving company
• Estate sales
• Selling the current home
• Coordinating movers, utilities, cleaning, and other tasks
I have assembled information that is important to my Senior Clients. From information on Estate Planning and Downsizing to tax laws, you will find it all here. If you have additional questions, or if you would like to speak with someone about your particular situation, please call me at 650-450-0450, or CLICK HERE to send an email.
